Dicey weather in store

This morning's nice weather will give way this afternoon to everything from hail to thunderstorms and damaging winds, but the excitement will be scattered, and many areas of the Front Range will miss it altogether.

If you like highs in the mid-70s and afternoon thundershowers, you're going to love the next few days in metro Denver and the eastern plains.

The National Weather Service says the most severe storms today will be east of Fort Morgan and Limon, areas that could get very large hail, damaging winds and a few tornadoes.

Still, isolated severe storms are possible over the rest of northeastern Colorado and the foothills, and could produce hail up to 1 inch in diameter along with damaging winds and heavy rain.
