The Boulder Chamber of Commerce has selected four women for its 13th annual Women Who Light the Community awards, which honors women who have impacted the community through civic, professional and community involvement.
The following women will be honored at an awards luncheon that will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sept. 3 at the Omni Interlocken Resort & Spa in Broomfield:
Cindy Lindsay, who founded BoldeReach, a nonprofit organized to help raise awareness of issues and support organizations that help women and children in need from all over the world.
Wendy Booker, who climbed five of the “Seven Summits,” and ran marathons after being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis as a way to inspire others and raise awareness of MS.
Tania Leontov, who has served the elderly, mentored people as they transition out of jail and worked to unite the effort of the area faith communities.
Aya Mariagnes Medrud, who will be honored with a “Lifetime Achievement Award,” for volunteering to help advance causes to help women, girls and boys.
